This complex portal had an overly complicated and poorly designed interface. As a product designer, I helped create a UI design system and component library for consistent interfaces and redesign pages using design best practices, conducting user studies and focusing on particular user groups to improve their experience. We addressed painpoints and decreased the gap of desired and actual outcome, increasing efficiency and creating a better user experience. I was a technical product manager for my last year on the team and facilitated communication between major stakeholders, identified priorities and outlined projects, created onboarding resources, trained new designers and developers, and made project scopes and briefs.
